A: Cards are made on German black core paper. Identical to MTG blue core paper in weight and size.
Q: What are the shipping options?

While Ash may not have evolved all of the Kanto starters, Red certainly did. 6 cards = Random encounters, with a team assembled for the journey ahead. Solid flavor connection.
